Job summary

Spokane Valley Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care to long-term care residents in accordance with care plans. You will work closely with therapy to support mobility goals and resident comfort.

This role emphasizes observation, personal care, and timely reporting to nursing staff. Ideal candidates hold a CNA license in the state, possess good physical stamina, and have or be able to obtain BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CNA license in the state of employment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• 6+ months experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assist resident with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, incontinence care etc.
• Provide support to residents with behavioral health needs.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, fluid intake and output as directed.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises, eating, and mobility/ transfers.
