Pay Range: $27.00 - $37.00/hour

Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating direct nursing care provided to residents. Responsible for preparation, delivery, and documentation of medications and treatments to assigned residents. Document change of condition, unusual occurrences, weekly summaries, initial assessments, MDS assessments, etc., thoroughly and legibly. Notify physicians and responsible parties of any change of condition with proper documentation. Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in quality management programs
• Follow oral and written instructions accurately
• Keep supervisor informed of work priorities and issues
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and disasters
• Provide a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff
• Ensure security to prevent wandering and implement elopement procedures if needed
• Maintain confidentiality and treat residents with dignity and respect
• Attend required in-service training and outside classes as appropriate
• Notify supervisors of illnesses or absences timely
• Attend facility meetings as assigned
• Follow dress code and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Proficient in English communication
• Understand and respond to cultural diversity

Educational & Licensing Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• California LVN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Charge nurse experience preferred
