Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in SNF billing and accounts receivable is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and DHPPD is preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO plans and LTC is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
• Ability to quickly learn accounting systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO plans and LTC billing guidelines.
• Process payroll bi-weekly for skilled staff and prepare payroll reports.
• Run monthly Medi-Cal eligibility verifications and related authorizations.
• Complete benefit verifications and authorizations for all insurances/payers.
• Enter and reconcile billing data, ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with AR team for month-end close, billing, and collections.
