Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Proficient in Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care and Commercial Insurance billings.
• Strong Excel and data entry abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage levels, and authorization requirements.
• Communicate with insurers, patients, and staff about coverage.
• Process Accounts Payable and Covina invoices.
• Input transactions into MatrixCare for resident accounts.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist with Medi-Cal applications and redeterminations.
• Assist with external audits related to Trust Fund and AP.
