Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a MIG Welder for a manufacturing client in Janesville, WI. This temporary-to-hire role offers day and night shifts with pay of $22.00/hour (day) or $25.00/hour (night).

You will MIG weld, read blueprints and welding symbols, set up and operate welding equipment, prepare materials, inspect welds, and collaborate with production and leadership to meet daily production goals while maintaining a safe, clean work area. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; welding certification or trade school training a plus.
• 2+ years welding experience preferred and ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various metals and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.
• Prepare materials through cleaning, grinding, and positioning components.
• Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with production and leadership teams to meet production goals.

Position Title: MIG Welder

Wage: Day $22.00/hour, Night $25.00/hour

Shift: Days or Nights Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM

QPS Employment Group is hiring Welders for a manufacturing client in Janesville, WI. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential for direct hire after 90 days based on performance and attendance.

MIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform MIG welding on various metals and materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
• Set up and operate welding equipment
• Prepare materials through cleaning, grinding, and positioning components
• Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with production and leadership teams to meet production goals

MIG Welder Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Welding certification or trade school training is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, fumes, and other industrial conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
