Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Welder on the 2nd shift in Beaver Dam, WI. The position offers 2:30pm–11:00pm hours, with a potential to hire after a successful probation period. Wage ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level.

Weld within manual and robotic environments, reading blueprints and welding symbols, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Training and testing are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual and robotic weld is desired.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols and maintenance instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Demonstrated competency in basic shop math and dimensional measuring.

Responsibilities

• Follow WPS weld standards.
• Inspect and measure machined parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Move machine controls to adjust machines.
• Unload welded parts from robotic welder and place on containers.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt components to obtain configurations for welding.
• Perform MIG, TIG and aluminum welding as needed.
• Examine finished work to verify conformance with specs using gauges.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards.

Position Title: Welder - 2nd Shift

Wage: $17.00 - $19.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday)

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Welder at a company in Beaver Dam, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift.

Welder Responsibilities:

• - Follow WPS weld standards
• - Inspect and measure machined work pieces to verify conformances to specifications
• - Move machine controls and guides to adjust machine
• - Unload welded parts from robotic welder and place on appropriate containers
• - Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• - Perform basic MIG, TIG and aluminum welding techniques as needed
• - Examine finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or customer notes using instruments such as gauges
• - Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines
• - Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• - Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards

Requirements for Welder:

• - Experience in manual and robotic weld is desired
• - Successful completion of an internal welding test
• - Previous knowledge of fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• - Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
• - Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, welding symbols, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• - Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task
• - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• - Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
• - Demonstrated competency in basic shop math
• - Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance
• - Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired
• - Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
• - Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently
• - Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• - Ability to stand for 8 hours
