Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower is seeking a welding/assembly technician to read blueprints, prepare parts, and perform welds on various metals. You will operate forklift, bridge crane, and pallet jack to move parts through the shop while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months of related experience or training; vocational school preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals in English.
• Basic math including measurement with tape rule; fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and test sheets; organize parts in a logical building order.
• Determine appropriate work surface (table, saw horse, floor).
• Grind parts to prep for welding and finishing.
• Set welding gun to correct thickness; weld and cut with plasma torch.
• Produce quality welds on mild steel, aluminum, stainless and galvanized steel in various positions.
• Visually inspect welds to ensure conformance to standards; request inspection.
• Tag product; coordinate with supervisor for inspection.
• Operate forklift/bridge crane/pallet jack to move product to wash or blast booth.
• Adhere to Twin City Fan core values.
• Additional duties as assigned by location/product line.
