Sealed Air Corporation seeks a mechanically inclined General Assembler for our equipment production team in Ayer, MA. You will assemble mechanical components per blueprints and specs, using hand and power tools, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.).
• Ability to read basic blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of basic hardware (metric and standard).
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and follow work instructions.
• Install components such as brackets, fasteners, bearings, and hardware.
• Perform basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist senior assemblers as needed.
• Report defects, material shortages, or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned
