Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation in Minnesota is seeking an Assembly Technician to support our manufacturing team. You will maintain production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to safe, efficient operations on a 12-hour rotating shift.

The role combines hands-on technical work with mentoring responsibilities and a focus on GMP compliance, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in manufacturing, with equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Proven safety compliance and adherence to protocols.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and controls.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience training or mentoring team members.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Champion workplace safety by following established protocols.
• Collaborate with quality teams to ensure products meet specifications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on assembly equipment.
• Train and mentor assembly operators on safety, practices and quality.
• Develop and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and output.
• Maintain equipment health checks and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Document daily production metrics and report to management.
• Prioritize production tasks based on shipping requirements and deadlines.
