Shift Details: First shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Compensation: $22.50 to $28.00 per hour

Availability: Weekend work and additional overtime hours might be necessary

Our manufacturing facility in Southwick, MA, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to become part of our production staff. You will be responsible for building mechanical units and final products by strictly adhering to provided schematics, technical blueprints, and specific assembly guidelines.

This position demands a high level of precision, proficiency with various power and manual tools, and the capability to execute tasks requiring tight tolerances in a practical, hands-on environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Construct mechanical units and sub-assemblies by referencing technical blueprints and established work procedures


• Utilize various power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to finalize assembly tasks


• Ensure fasteners are installed and torqued to meet exact engineering requirements


• Interpret and apply information from technical schematics and assembly documentation


• Conduct thorough inspections to help guarantee that all finished products satisfy our quality benchmarks


• Detect potential defects and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate team members


• Resolve minor assembly challenges by making necessary adjustments to improve overall output efficiency


• Document production progress and inspection results through accurate paperwork completion


• Organize necessary components, hardware, and tools required for daily production runs


• Support the team by assisting with material tracking and inventory management


• Collaborate with production colleagues to ensure we consistently reach our daily manufacturing targets


• Uphold a tidy and systematic workspace to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team


• Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize mandatory personal protective equipment to ensure personal and team safety

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent education; technical training is considered an asset


• At least two years of professional experience in a manufacturing assembly role


• Previous background in the aerospace manufacturing sector is highly desirable


• Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of manual and power-driven tools


• Understanding of proper fastener installation techniques and torque specifications


• Capability to comprehend and execute tasks based on company instructions and basic blueprints


• Ability to successfully execute intricate assembly tasks that require working to close tolerances

Physical Demands

• Capacity to remain standing or walking for long durations


• Ability to perform movements such as bending, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting as the task requires


• Capability to lift weights up to 30 pounds
