Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a skilled Mechanic to provide preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair bus and fleet equipment across our Michigan operations. You will work on steering, brakes, engines, transmissions, and related systems, performing inspections and ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
