Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Mechanic Level B in White Plains, MD to perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of vehicle systems including brakes, engines, transmissions and electrical components.

You will document activities in MV's Fleet Management System, maintain a safe work environment and contribute to timely repairs. Competitive pay with full benefits, 40-hour week, overtime as needed and opportunities for career advancement with a national company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of apprentice-level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, examine, and repair vehicle systems to determine causes of defects.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
