Job summary

H-E-B in Denton, TX is seeking a Meat Cutter to keep a well-stocked, clean meat department and provide superior customer service. You will cut, trim, bone meat for display or orders, weigh and wrap products, and rotate stock while following safety standards.

You’ll operate grinders, saws, slicers, and other equipment, assist customers with selections, and help ensure accurate labeling and production tracking. Training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• 1+ year of related experience and/or training
• Completion of power jack training and Meat Cutter certification within 3 months
• Knowledge of product rotation and department sanitation
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, bones meat for display or as ordered by customer
• Operates electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weights, wraps, labels product for counter display; rotates product
• Rotates product in meat cooler; maintains proper storage practices
• Uses MCS technology to generate production list and track re-works
• Assists customers with product questions and selections
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases; follows food safety standards
