Job summary

Kent’s Market in Brigham City seeks a dedicated Meat Cutter to break down, weigh, and package meat products for sale. You will operate meat saws, slicers, grinders and knives, fulfill custom orders, and uphold strict quality standards in daily operations.

The role requires knowledge of meat products, adherence to food safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced store. Weekend shifts are required; full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of fish, seafood and meat products.
• Ability to communicate with guests about ingredients and preparation.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company and regulatory standards for meat department operations.
• Respond to guest questions about ingredients and equipment.
• Assist with selecting and purchasing high-quality meat products; may order and manage inventories.
• Identify, cut, process, rotate and merchandise meat per standards; maintain all grinders.
• Function as a Fishmonger when needed; handle seafood similarly.
• Support team with additional tasks as needed.
