Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate manual mills and lathes, including a horizontal boring mill, on a diverse range of parts. You will interpret blueprints and sketches, establish setup methods, and maintain accurate production records.

The role requires 2–3 years of machining experience, a high school diploma, and strong shop math skills. Expect a hands-on environment with strict safety procedures and opportunities across multiple production stations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in machining or a closely related field.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge of machine use and manufacturing materials.
• Advanced knowledge of shop mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills and lathes; experience with a horizontal boring mill.
• Lay out work and produce quality parts from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Interpret sketches, blueprints, and engineering details.
• Assist in establishing setup methods, order of operations, and material requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records and job history.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and tool sharpening/rework.
