Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain a wide range of machinery and building systems, implement preventative maintenance, and respond to repair requests to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires strong technical skills, meticulous diagnostics, and the ability to work independently to minimize downtime and keep operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Driver's license valid in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Corrects and repairs minor plumbing issues including flush valves, drains, faucet repairs and shower valve repairs.
• Repairs med gas valve leaks by rebuilding front bodies as required.
• Fixes minor electrical problems such as replacing ballasts, receptacles, and light switches.
• Performs general maintenance assignments as required.
• Completes inspections using procedures, log sheets, checklists, and PM sheets as required.
• Documents mechanical systems per federal, state and regulatory agencies.
