Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled mechanical maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain a wide range of machinery and building systems to ensure safe, efficient operation and minimize downtime.

The role requires strong technical skills, meticulous diagnostics, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of maintenance experience required.
• Driver's license valid in Kentucky (KY) required.

Responsibilities

• Corrects and repairs minor plumbing, including flush valve, drain stoppage, faucet repairs and shower valve repairs.
• Corrects med gas valve leaks by rebuilding front bodies as required.
• Corrects and repairs minor electrical problems such as replacing ballasts, receptacles and light switches.
• Performs all general maintenance assignments as required.
• Completes inspections according to established procedures, including log sheets, checklists and PM sheets.
• Completes required documentation for mechanical systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies.
