Job summary

Vail Resorts in Hastings, FL is hiring for a Lift Maintenance position to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mountain lifts. You will focus on preventative maintenance, repairs, safety, and leadership within the crew.

This winter seasonal role offers a starting wage of 23–27 USD per hour, with full-time and part-time hours available, and a pathway to grow within the ski industry while enjoying employee passes and discounts.

Qualifications

• Prior mechanical or electrical experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Must be able to obtain a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of the assigned lifts.
• Utilize technical knowledge to optimize equipment downtime.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to reduce risk and protect guests and staff.
• Support the professional growth and development of employees across the lift maintenance team.

Job Summary:

This position ensures the safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts, with emphasis on proficiency, instruction, safety, and leadership in all areas of Lift Maintenance.This department is responsible for the safe transport of guests and employees on the mountain. The role is perfect for someone who wants to learn and grow with the department and build a career in the ski industry.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $22.99/hr - $27.05/hr


• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027


• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available


• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• Prior mechanical or electrical experience


• Must have or ability to obtain a valid US driver's license


• Ability to work efficiently at heights


• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds


• Able to work outdoors in adverse mountain winter weather conditions


• Must be willing to work flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evening shifts, overtime, etc.


• Intermediate ski/snowboard ability preferred

The expected pay range is $22.99/hr - $27.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
