Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for Lift Maintenance in a Winter Seasonal role for 2026/2027. Starting wage is $22.99–$27.05 per hour with full-time hours during the season. Roles focus on safe, reliable operation of lifts, with opportunities to learn, grow, and advance within the mountain operations team.

Applicants should have mechanical or electrical experience, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in winter conditions. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

  • Prior mechanical or electrical experience.
  • Must have or ability to obtain a valid US driver's license.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse mountain winter weather conditions.
  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays/evening shifts/overtime.
  • Intermediate ski/snowboard ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair the assigned lifts.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to optimize equipment downtime.
  • Engages around priorities to foster engagement, collaboration, and results.
  • Follow safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Support the professional growth and development of employees across all levels, working with Lift Operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position ensures the safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts, with emphasis on proficiency, instruction, safety, and leadership in all areas of Lift Maintenance.This department is responsible for the safe transport of guests and employees on the mountain. The expected pay range is$22.99/hr - $27.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
