Job summary

Cruz Construction, Inc. is seeking a Marine Mate of Towing for Alaskan waters to supervise crew aboard towing vessels and stand watch when the Captain is absent. This seasonal, full-time role requires working in remote and challenging environments.

You will operate in demanding conditions, perform leadership duties, and ensure safe navigation and towing practices while supporting Alaska operations.

Qualifications

• Merchant Mariner Credential required.
• Mate of Towing Near Coastal endorsement required.
• Radar Observer Unlimited is required.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate crew activities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform frequent climbing and kneeling.
• Ability to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week, for up to 8 weeks at a time.
• Understanding of safe navigation and towing practices.
