Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Tugboat Mate for operations in Western Alaska. This role involves assisting the Captain with navigation, towing operations, cargo handling, and leading deck operations, ensuring safety and professionalism.

The ideal candidate must have a valid Merchant Mariner Credential and experience in tug and barge operations. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced in tug and barge operations capable of leading deck crews.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and manual labor.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Stand navigational watch and assist in vessel handling.
• Lead deck operations and supervise Deckhands during cargo operations.
• Ensure safe handling of mooring lines and towing equipment.
