Job summary

NANA Construction is looking for an experienced Tugboat Mate to support operations in Western Alaska. This role involves assisting with vessel navigation, towing operations, and cargo handling under the Captain's direction.

The ideal candidate will have a Merchant Mariner Credential, strong seamanship skills, and experience with tug and barge operations. The position requires working outdoors in challenging conditions and leading deck crews.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass drug testing are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather and marine conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, handling heavy lines, and performing manual labor.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in vessel handling, towing operations, and barge positioning.
• Supervise and direct Deckhands during cargo operations.
• Ensure safe handling of mooring lines, rigging, and towing equipment.
