Shirley Contracting Company, LLC - Skilled Laborer Position

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is accepting applications for Skilled Laborers to join our team. We pride ourselves on attracting, developing, and retaining the best employees in the industry. We hire ambitious and dedicated professionals at all levels of our organization.

Qualifications

1. Work in outdoor environments in all seasons
2. Comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and communicating effectively with operators, workers, and pedestrians
3. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces with safety equipment and training
4. Moderate to heavy lifting (more than 15 pounds), pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and squatting regularly
5. Working knowledge of hand and power tools
6. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening

Responsibilities

1. Perform flagging, traffic closures, and relevant tasks as assigned
2. Prepare sites, dig trenches, set supports for excavations, and clean up debris
3. Install erosion and sediment controls (e.g., silt fences, gutter buddies)
4. Perform manual labor to support projects
5. Wear safety gear including safety toe boots, long pants, shirts with long sleeves, PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vests, gloves)
6. Work on various tasks daily
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
8. Maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers

Job Details

• Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
• Locations: Various jobsites
• Working hours: Starts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required
