Job description

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is accepting applications for Skilled Laborers to join our team.

Qualifications
  1. Work in outdoor environments in all seasons.
  2. Be comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and able to communicate with operators, workers, and pedestrians.
  3. Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces with safety equipment and training.
  4. Perform moderate to heavy lifting (more than 15 pounds), pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and squatting regularly.
  5. Have a working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  6. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Responsibilities
  1. Perform flagging, traffic closures, and relevant tasks as assigned.
  2. Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support excavations, clean rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.
  3. Install erosion and sediment controls (e.g., silt fence, super silt fence, gutter buddies).
  4. Willingness to perform manual labor tasks to support projects.
  5. Wear safety gear including safety toe boots, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vests, gloves) is provided.
  6. Work on various tasks within the day.
  7. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  8. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
Additional Information

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Various Jobsites

Working Hours: Start varies between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required.
