Qualifications

• Five (5) years directly related experience as a skilled journeyman in all painting phases.
• Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Must have a strong knowledge of and experience with tools, equipment and products of the trade.
• Must have knowledge of EPA codes and regulations as they pertain to the trade.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs skilled journeyman level tasks in all phases of the painting trade in connection with the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment or any university property.
• Includes patching, small drywall repair, minor carpentry repair associated with finished painting.
• Response to emergencies and joint commission inspections; conducts smoke and fire wall inspections and repairs.
