Qualifications

• Five years direct journeyman painting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment and products of the trade.
• Knowledge of EPA codes and regulations related to painting.
• Mix paints by prescribed formulations.
• Experience with airless and pressure-type equipment, brushes and rollers.
• Apply cement and tape to joints, install wall/floor coverings.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled journeyman painting tasks for maintenance and repair of buildings and university properties.
• Patch, minor drywall and carpentry work related to finished painting.
• Respond to hospital emergencies and conduct joint commissions smoke/fire wall inspections and repairs.
