Job summary

Generator Systems LLC is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service diesel and natural gas generators in the field. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and document service findings with care and accuracy.

This role emphasizes doing the job right the first time, following established procedures, and communicating clearly with customers about equipment status.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of power generation experience.
• Generac certified highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort working from technical documentation and established procedures.
• A careful, detail-oriented approach to diagnostics and recordkeeping.
• Professional, straightforward communication style.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel and natural gas generators.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals with care and accuracy.
• Complete service documentation thoroughly and on time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding equipment status and service findings.
• Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and industry best practices consistently.
