Prime Power Services, Inc. is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service diesel and natural gas generators in a structured, safety‑driven environment.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document activities with precision, contributing to reliable power for customers. The role emphasizes thorough knowledge of schematics, adherence to procedures, and clear communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of power generation experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and procedures.
• Careful, detail-oriented approach to diagnostics and recordkeeping.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel and natural gas generators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot ATS, generator controls, excitation systems, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals with care and accuracy.
• Complete service documentation thoroughly and on time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding equipment status and service findings.
• Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and industry best practices.
