Job summary

ASSISTANCE ET MAITRISE TECHNIQUE is seeking a seasoned Furniture Repair Technician to inspect, repair, restore, and refinish a wide range of furniture and related items in a repair shop or warehouse setting.

You will identify damage, determine repair methods, and estimate materials and time; repair wood, leather, fabric, ceramic, marble, metal, and other materials with high-quality finishes. You may assist Crating with crate construction and packaging when workload is light.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a furniture repair technician, refinisher, restoration specialist, upholsterer, or similar skilled trade.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction, finishes, adhesives, upholstery methods and repair techniques.
• Ability to lift/move heavy items and work safely with hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect furniture to identify damage, determine repair methods, and estimate materials/time.
• Repair, restore, refinish, and touch up wood furniture and veneers.
• Repair leather and upholstered furniture, including tears, seams, padding, and fabric damage.
• Repair or restore ceramic, marble, stone, metal, and other materials as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture safely to complete repairs.
