Job summary

Living Spaces is seeking a Furniture Repair Technician I to repair, restore and inspect damaged or manufacturer-defect merchandise. The role involves upholstery, leather and wood repairs, plus assembly tasks and safe lifting.

You’ll work in a shop or dock, ensuring outbound shipments meet quality standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with upholstery, fabrics, wood furniture, leather and veneer finishes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of experience with upholstery, fabrics, wood furniture, leather and veneer finishes.
• Strong knowledge of leather repairs and wood repairs (scratches, dents, splits).
• Able to use necessary tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify repair needs and follow procedures to repair.
• Demonstrate proficiency in upholstery, leather, or wood repairs as needed.
• Assist restocking to first quality target (80%).
• Assess and dispose of furniture quality after inspection.
• Assist with product assembly as required.
• Follow proper lifting techniques and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in the warehouse.
