Job summary

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, technical training in operating equipment, at least two years of experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and a valid DC 7B license. Must pass MVR review and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Technical training in operating equipment.
• At least two years’ experience.
• Valid Driver’s License, preferably a CDL A/B.
• Valid DC 7B Operator’s License.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe and skilled manner per manufacturer instructions and Joy policies.
• Excavate around utilities following Miss Utility Law and Joy procedures.
• Operate equipment in or around congested areas.
• Inspect work areas, position equipment, and direct loading/unloading of equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance and check fluid levels.
• Maintain records and forms per company and manufacturer procedures.
• Assist crew with manual tasks to keep job progress.
• Coordinate with coworkers, supervisors, customers and the public.
• Adhere to safety standards per Joy, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
