Job summary

BF Joy in Hyattsville, MD is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment on specialized contract work. This role requires attention to safety, proper documentation, and adherence to DOT and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency or better.
• Technical training in operating construction equipment.
• Two years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per manufacturer instructions and Joy policies.
• Excavate around utilities following Miss Utility Law and procedures.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform daily checks and fluid level tops.
• Assist crew and coordinate with coworkers and customers to keep job progress.
• Follow safety regulations and perform any additional duties as assigned.
