Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction helper to assist craft workers on U.S. job sites, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

You will support concrete work, form removal, equipment signaling, and general site duties in Floydada, Texas. Role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6–12 months of related construction experience, plus training in tower rescue, LOTO, and confined space safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6–12 months of related construction experience
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Training and Certifications: Tower Rescue Training, LOTO, Tool Drop, Confined Space; Wanzek Climb Training preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
• Complete all required Safety documentation
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using hand tools
• Mix concrete or grout using portable mixer
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete
• Position, join, align and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical parts
• Mop, brush, or spread protective coatings on surfaces
• Spray materials to clean, coat, or seal surfaces
• Apply caulking to seal crevices
• Grind, sand, or polish concrete and steel surfaces
• Perform duties using hand tools and equipment including torqueing and dismantling forms
• Provide assistance on site as needed
• Maintain assigned tools
• Perform physical labor on construction sites
• May travel to different jobsites on short notice
• Other duties as assigned
