Job summary

Great Place Construction in Sioux Falls, SD is hiring a skilled concrete finisher for full-time, year-round work. The role involves preparing, placing and finishing concrete, building formwork, and installing reinforcement steel.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, paid travel time in company vehicles, and a boot allowance. Bilingual Spanish/English premium pay is provided where applicable, with work within 1–2 hours of Sioux Falls.

Qualifications

• Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms and use of power screed/trowels.
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic foundation plans is desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, place and finish concrete as directed.
• Construct, place and strip formwork and install reinforcement steel.
• Operate/mechanically place concrete and finish edges; clean and maintain tools.

You don’t have to have it all – we will train for you.****DUTIES:*** The concrete finisher will prepare/place/finish concrete* Construct, place and strip formwork* Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents* Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment* Finish/edge/cut placed concrete* Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work* Work with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation process* Workers will be provided daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Sioux Falls, SD* Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment## Qualifications* Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels* Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired* Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis.
