Job summary

Great Place Construction Company is seeking a skilled concrete finisher for full-time, year-round work in the Sioux Falls area. Typical duties include preparing, placing and finishing concrete, forming, and reinforcing steel as outlined in project documents.

The role requires ability to read drawings, operate finishing equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs. Company vehicles provide travel time and the schedule is Monday–Friday with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience as concrete finisher on commercial sites.
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and project specs.
• Proficiency with formwork assembly and finishing tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, place and finish concrete according to specs.
• Construct, place and strip formwork for slabs and structures.
• Install reinforcement steel per project documents.
• Finish edges and control joints; cut and finish placed concrete.
• Maintain tools and coordinate with field supervision during installation.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean jobsite.

You don’t have to have it all – we will train for you.DUTIES:The concrete finisher will prepare/place/finish concreteConstruct, place and strip formworkInstall reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documentsPlace/strike concrete with mechanical equipmentFinish/edge/cut placed concreteClean up and properly maintain tools associated with this workWork with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation processWorkers will be provided daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Sioux Falls, SDFollowing established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environmentPrevious concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowelsAbility to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desiredAbility to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis.
