Job summary

Great Place Construction is seeking a skilled concrete finisher for full-time, year-round work in the Sioux Falls area. Position includes finishing concrete, forming, and coordinating with site supervision, with travel within 1–2 hours of Sioux Falls.

Wages start between $27 and $32 per hour, DOE, with paid travel time in company vehicles and a boot allowance. The ideal candidate has concrete experience, can read basic drawings, and is able to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs occasionally).

Qualifications

• Previous concrete finishing experience required.
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb regularly and 100 lb occasionally.
• Valid DL and good driving record.
• Knowledge of tools associated with concrete duties is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, place, and finish concrete.
• Construct, place and strip formwork.
• Install reinforcement steel per project documents.
• Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment.
• Finish, edge, and cut placed concrete.
• Clean up and maintain tools used for this work.
• Coordinate the concrete installation with field supervision.
• Workers will be provided daily transportation to Sioux Falls pickup location.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe environment.

• FULL-TIME YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR SKILLED CARPENTERS
• WAGES START BETWEEN $27 AND $32 DOE.
• Monday through Friday schedule - No Weekends.

We are looking to hire team members that may have experience with any of this type of work. You dont have to have it all – we will train for you.

DUTIES:

• The concrete finisher will prepare/place/finish concrete
• Construct, place and strip formwork
• Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents
• Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment
• Finish/edge/cut placed concrete
• Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work
• Work with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation process
• Workers will be provided daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Sioux Falls, SD
• Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

Qualifications

• Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis. May have to push/pull up to 100lbs on an infrequent basis
• Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing
• Valid DL and good driving record
• Knowledge of various tools associated with duties noted above
