Qualifications

• High School Diploma or vocational training or equivalent.
• 3 years skilled or journeyman level experience as a carpenter in a commercial, institutional, or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of door hardware and proficiency with large power tools such as table saw, circular saw, router, and miter saw.

Responsibilities

• Performs general carpentry work involved in alteration, construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings or parts of buildings.
• Removes and replaces hardware; installs or replaces linoleum, floor tile, ceiling tile, or window glass.
• Maintains tools and carries out preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assists in time and material record-keeping for each job.
• May supervise trainees or maintenance workers.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
