Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Maintenance Foreman to lead the Carpentry Shop. You will supervise a crew of carpenters, manage work orders, and oversee repairs and renovations including drywall finishing of interiors.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and at least 3 years journeyman level experience in multiple skilled trades, preferably in healthcare settings; a valid Texas driver's license is required; shift Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with possible overtime;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, vocational school, or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years journeyman level experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpenters and coordinate work orders.
• Oversee repair, maintenance, and structural modifications including drywall finishing.
• Direct work of crew while performing hands-on tasks as needed in Preventive Maintenance or Mechanical Services.
• Ensure safety standards and quality control across facilities.
• Mentor and train crew members to improve skills and efficiency.
• Correspond with management, engineering, and customers to resolve issues.
• Requisition materials and supervise project progress.
