Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled Facilities Building Services Coordinator to support campus facilities maintenance. Requires six years in building maintenance and proficiency across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, and painting trades.

You will coordinate maintenance, supervise staff, and liaise with occupants to identify needs while working with minimal supervision on journeyman level tasks across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Education must have a degree from a vocational school in building trades or have a license in a trade.
• Experience 6 years in building maintenance.
• Licenses and Certifications (DRIVERS) Driver's license, State of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates building attendants by providing clear work instructions and observing performance.
• Supervises Building Maintenance Specialists throughout campus as needed.
• Assigns, sets, and disseminates tasks to other employees.
• Performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, housekeeping, carpentry, and painting repairs per service requests.
• Conducts periodic inspections of roofs, plumbing, electrical, mechanical rooms and housekeeping.
• Maintains records and documents of work completed.
• Installs new equipment as required.
• Liaison with building occupants to identify maintenance needs and coordinate work.
