Job summary

The Walsh Group - Archer Western is seeking a Carpenter for the Belmont Pump Station project in Woodbridge, VA. The Carpenter will construct, install, and finish wood structures for bridges, walls, and related components on a heavy civil site.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of verifiable carpentry experience, familiarity with MEVA/DOKA/Symons forms, and be able to work safely with fall protection and at height. Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred
• Experience with MEVA, DOKA, and Symons forms
• Ability to use fall protection and climb formwork
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather
• Pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, walls, and additional structures
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
