Job summary

Archer Western Construction - The Walsh Group is seeking a Carpenter for our Belmont Pump Station project in Woodbridge, VA. The role involves constructing, erecting, and installing wood structures for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects, using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines on site.

You will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with opportunities to travel across the U.S. to support Building, Transportation, and Water divisions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Experience with MEVA, DOKA, and Symons formwork.
• Experience using fall protection and climbing formwork and rebar.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with crew.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface for layout.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units.
• Assists with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
