Job summary

Visiting Angels in Summerville, SC, is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers. You'll assist clients with mobility, personal care, medication reminders, and light meals while offering companionship. Applicants should have a high school diploma and preferably one year of caregiver experience. A valid driver's license is required, and you'll enjoy flexible schedules. Compensation is $14.00 - $16.00 per hour, with supportive training and a family-like environment offered.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and a working vehicle.
• Must adhere to plans of care for the client.
• Must be calm in emergent situations.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, active listening between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening
• Must be able to assist Client with transportation, lifting with appropriate equipment, and okay with dogs and cats

• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
