Job summary

Visiting Angels Summerville is seeking adaptable, compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors and others needing daily living assistance. You will help with mobility, personal care, and daily activities, with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours and flexible scheduling to fit client needs.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, reliability, and strong communication with families and staff. Training is provided, with several shifts available per current client roster.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, insurance.
• Must adhere to plans of care for client.
• Flexible schedules per client needs.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Good communication and active listening with clients, families, and staff.
• Ability to stay calm in emergent situations and inform staff of client changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for an individual's safety and well-being to provide supportive non-clinical care. Schedules may vary from 4 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in-home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in home care.

Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available

Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred

Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

Respectful and compassionate

Good time management skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Strong ethics

Compensation

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
