Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking in-home caregivers to support seniors in their own homes, with flexible shifts from 4 hours and up, including 24/7 care coverage as needed.

We value adaptable, compassionate, and honest caregivers who can follow plans of care, communicate well with clients and families, and provide safe, dignified assistance in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver's license, working vehicle, commute required and current, up-to-date insurance.
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client.

Job Description

At Visiting Angels, it is our mission to provide the highest quality care to those that struggle with activities of daily living. Our core competency is providing compassionate care consistently, while seeking opportunities to continually improve our services to exceed expectations.

You will be responsible for an individual's safety and well-being to provide supportive non-clinical care. Schedules may vary from 4 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in-home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in-home care.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver's license, working vehicle, commute required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics

Compensation

14.00 - 16.00 per hour
