Job summary

The City of Branson seeks a skilled maintenance worker to cover a broad range of trades from custodial tasks to building and grounds upkeep. You will perform carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry, roofing, welding, and concrete work, while ensuring HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems run smoothly through preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include outdoor landscaping, snow removal, and maintaining flooring and public spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three (3) years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and/or skilled building.
• OSHA 30 certification within 12 months of hire date.
• Bucket Truck, Crane Truck, and Forklift Training certification within 12 months of hire date.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Must pass background, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility screening.

WORK HOURS:

Typically, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Hours/days may change as needed for the department.

Who We Are Looking For:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and/or performing skilled building.
• Possession or the ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification within 12 months of hire date.
• Possession or the ability to obtain certification in Bucket Truck, Crane Truck, and Forklift Training within 12 months of hire date.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as part of the position.
• Be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• The ability to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility screening.

Compensation & Benefits:

The starting hourly wage is $22.13 per hour and will increase to $23.02 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

Work Location:

City of Branson Police Station; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
