SCA Engineering Technician 1 (Assembler)

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an SCA Engineering Technician 1 (Assembler) based in Warner Robins, GA. This role involves repairing, modifying, and fabricating complex electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and Shop and Line Replaceable Units for mission‑critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and complex electronic assemblies.
  • Replace components and repair printed circuit boards.
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate Shop and Line Replaceable Units.
  • Utilize general‑purpose test and measurement equipment and tools.
  • Read schematics and wiring diagrams to guide assembly and repair work.
  • Identify required tools, supplies, and resources; maintain a serviceable work area.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings, create initial layouts, and use hand or power tools and jigs.
  • Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Inspect processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain all required soldering certifications and meet associated training requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of repair capability experience on complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, shop or line replaceable units, and wiring harnesses.
  • Experience using controlled drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience with military‑grade pins, connectors, and associated tooling.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic assemblies using detailed drawings, work instructions, or Technical Orders.
