Job summary

Valor Environmental is hiring a Full-Time Skid Steer Operator/Crew Leader to manage a field crew on construction and landscaping sites. You will operate equipment, install erosion controls, and oversee safety while coordinating with the Field Quality Manager in absence of leadership.

Must have prior lead experience in construction/landscaping, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather, including weekends. We offer year-round work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment; frequently lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service (EFS) Specialists in the absence of the Field Quality Manager.
• Install and remove Silt Fence as required.
• Install protection to storm inlets.
• Use heavy duty hand tools (sledge hammer, shovels, etc.).
• Install erosion control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by agencies.
• Monitor safety hazards and correct unsafe practices on site.
• Operate company machinery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Full-Time Skid Steer Operator/Crew Leader (Construction/Landscaping)

Pay rate: $20.00-$22.00 plus overtime

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service (EFS) Specialists in the occurrence a Field Quality Manager (FQM) is out.
• Install and remove Silt Fence.
• Install protection to storm inlets.
• Work with heavy duty hand tools (sledge hammer/shovels, etc.).
• Install various types of erosion control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by reporting agencies.
• Watch for safety hazards on jobsite, correct employees anytime they are working in an unsafe manner.
• Operate company machinery.
• Additional duties as assigned.
