Job summary

Valor Environmental is seeking a Full-Time Crew Leader for construction/landscaping in Houston, TX. The role leads daily crew activities, coordinates with clients on site, and ensures safety, quality, and efficient use of materials while driving to sites and managing equipment.

The position requires prior leadership in construction or landscaping, a valid Driver’s License, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather, including weekends and extended hours; lifting up to 50 pounds frequently

Qualifications

• Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Leads all crew work for the day’s events (driving to site, materials management, quality of work, inspection sign-off, field communication, tool care, overtime management, safety measures).
• Interacts with clients on site to ensure work is completed.
• Reinforces company culture with crew (attire, communication, work ethic, safety, attitude).
• Ensures job materials are well kept, maintained and used without waste.
• Operates heavy equipment (trencher, skid steer, bobcat, backhoe, sweeper) and truck/trailer safely; obeys laws/regulations.
• Demonstrates organization and electronic usage capability (phone, computers).
• Completes all required paperwork and submissions accurately and timely.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Salary range: $20 - $22/h

Job Responsibilities

• Leads all efforts of crew work for the day’s events (driving to site, management of materials, quality of work, sign off on inspection reports, communication in field, care of materials and tools, managing overtime, illustrating safety measures, etc.)
• Interacts with clients on site to assure work is done
