Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY brand, is seeking a Skid Builder in Tulsa, OK. This role operates pallet manufacturing tools safely to meet pallet demand on a first shift from 4:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as required.

You will sort and stack pallets, cut boards to length, and use a tape measure, pneumatic nail gun, forklift and hand tools. Basic math and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in wood manufacturing.
• Familiar with wood building concepts, strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to think quickly and work in a team.
• Willingness to overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Sort and stack pallets according to department requirements.
• Cleanup work area during and after each shift.
• Cut and stack boards to proper length; measure with tape and use metric system.
• Operate pneumatic nail gun, forklift and hand tools safely; lift 30 pounds.

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Skid Builder. This position will operate all pallet manufacturing facility tools and equipment in a safe manner while keeping up with pallet demand. This will be a first shift position from 4:00am to 2:30pm Monday thru Thursday over time as required.

What you will be doing:

• Sort and stack pallets according to department requirements.
• Cleanup work area during and at the end of each shift.
• Cut and stack boards to proper length. Understanding & usage of the metric system, and tape measure. Ability to operate Pneumatic Nail Gun, Forklift and Hand Tools safely. Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

The skills and experience you need:

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 1 year involved with wood manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with a variety of wood building concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities. Must have strong verbal communication skills. Willingness to work with others in a team environment.
• Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment.
• Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.
• Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Have basic math and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed
