Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.

• Roll tooling experience with setups and changeovers.
• Able to meet negotiated time frames; good communication with coworkers.

Job description

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a skilled Loader. This position will be responsible for the off-loading and part inspection of product being produced, and placing it in proper rack to insure continuous operation during the shift. This is a 1st shif position; Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 3:30pm.

What you will be doing:

• Safety, quality, priorities above all
• Focus on the keeping the mill operational
• Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
• Assist in the change over processes of the mill
• TPM of process and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
• Perform visual quality checks for straightness, galv integrity, length to meet quality requirements
• Able to work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner
• Focus on mill production efficiency, problem resolution, cost saving opportunities.

The skills and experience you need:

• Education: High school or equivalent
• Experience: Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure. Must be able to read part drawings to perform product inspections.
• Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
• Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames
• Forklift
• Other: Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill. Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
